Charleston County Transportation Development seeks to inspire, engage, and educate students K-12 to pursue a degree and careers in the Engineering field. Charleston County Transportation Development strives to strengthen STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) literacy through collaboration with local educators, involvement in career academies, and participation in outreach events throughout the community.

Join us on April 10, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the Transportation Development Department Bridge Building Competition at Mark Clark Hall 2nd floor Buyer Auditorium, The Citadel 171 Moultrie Street. The competition is open to all Charleston County high school students. For more information, please see competition rules. Interested students can submit individual structures or submit as a team of 5 or less. Completed registration forms are due by March 28, 2019.
First Place winner: $100 Visa Gift Card
Second Place winner: $75 Visa Gift Card
Third Place winner: $50 Visa Gift card
The Citadel requires all parents of all minors attending the Bridge Building Competition at Buyer Hall Auditorium to complete and return the Protection of Minor Form. In addition, a Program Safety Training Material document must be completed by everyone volunteering at the event.
